© - ATH all rights reserved - Edition 2024 26 EMPLOYER’S GUIDE 2024 BENEFICIARIES Professional training contracts are open to : • Young people aged 16 to 25 who want to further their initial education, • Job seekers aged 26 and over, • Recipients of basic welfare benefits, allowances and disability benefits, • People who have benefited from inclusion contracts. Ask us about the specific provisions that may apply for certain beneficiaries. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING CONTRACT All employers liable for funding continuing professional development can sign this type of contract. The contract must be in writing. • A standard form must be sent within 5 days after the start of the contract to the relevant skills agency (OPCO) for the company (dematerialized transmission : www.alternance.emploi.gouv.fr), • The OPCO decides on the payment of training costs and submits the case to the Direction régionale de l'économie, de l'emploi, du travail et des solidarités (DREETS). The contract can be a fixed term contract or a permanent contract with a period of professional training. It can include a probation period. It can be performed partly abroad for a period not exceeding one year or half the total duration of the contract. The contract cannot include a penalty clause for training.
